London Jobs To Benefit From Boost To Arts Institutions

London jobs are set to benefit from the Government’s financial support to three of the country’s art institutions.

A new National Film Centre will be built on London’s South Bank and the Tate Modern as well as the British Museum will each receive funds to support their extensions.

According to BBC News, the Government will give £45m towards the new film centre. The centre will become the new home of the British Film Institute (BFI) and host popular events like the London Film Festival and premieres.

The capital’s Tate Modern which boasts with international modern art will undergo a £215m transformation.

The Government will support the Tate Modern with £50m and the British Museum with £22.5m.

David Rowe, who said he had sent out hundreds of CVs and offered to work for free, could not find himself a job . After a bet with his father he decided to pace around London's Fleet Street area with a sandwich board emblazoned with: "Job wanted - history graduate - interview me". His efforts have led to one offer of a job from a London recruitment firm.
